Welcome to Cookie’s Kitchen, a blog dedicated to the memory of and inspired by my mom.  All of the closest people in my mom’s life knew her as Cookie, and most of what I learned about life and food, I learned in Cookie’s Kitchen.

My mom instilled in me many valuable things over the years, including a love for cooking.  Over the last few years of her life, I had the joy and honor of having her live with me.  During that time, I was able to cook for her.  It was an amazing experieince to share new meals with her and see the look on her face when I cooked something new or surprised her with her favorite meal.

My hope is that through this blog, I can share with you some of the things I learned about food and life in Cookie’s Kitchen…
